Federal Member for Bonner Ross Vasta has spent the last three months tirelessly petitioning the community to support his campaign calling for action on the disastrous Lindum Station Crossing.

Collecting more than 4,500 signatures Mr Vasta then transported the petition to Canberra last week and hand delivered it to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure and Transport the Hon.
Michael McCormack.

Minister McCormack thanked Mr Vasta for his hard work on this issue and acknowledged that the current state of Lindum Station Crossing is obviously very concerning for locals in Bonner.

Mr Vasta said presenting the petition to the Minister is just the first step in finding a solution for this crossing.

“The Minister agrees this issue is something that needs to be looked into, it’s a huge issue for my local community.”

“Moving forward I’m looking forward to working with local State and Council representatives to find a solution for this dangerous low level crossing.”
