Multi-Million Dollar Manufacturer Sets up Shop in Bonner
KWB Group, owners of the Kitchen Connection yesterday invited locals to take a tour of their brand new $12 million facility in Lytton.
The new 10,800 sqm manufacturing plant, originally in New South Wales, now calls Lytton home and has been welcomed with open arms by the local community.
Federal Member for Bonner said it’s great to see KWB Group putting such a big investment in this community.
“It’s wonderful to see more and more manufacturers coming to the Bonner community, boosting our local economy and employing more people.
“The coalition government is committed to supporting manufacturing in Australia; in the 2017-18 budget we delivered a $100-million fund for manufacturers to expand and diversify their businesses because we know the flow on benefits for the country and the local communities.
“I am proud to have joined owners John Bourke and Chris Palin to officially open this facility, I can foresee a very long and fruitful relationship between KWB and the Bonner community and I encourage more manufacturers to follow suite and come to Bonner,” Mr Vasta said.
KWB Group Managing Director John Bourke says investing in Queensland is a big part of the KWB brand.
“The Lytton site presented one of the best options for us due to its sheer size, accessibility to main arterials and proximity to our expanding network of Kitchen Connection showrooms.”
“With this new facility we now have the opportunity to be able to sell and install kitchens faster and more efficiently than anyone else in the Queensland Renovation Market.”
Kitchen connection already has 11 showrooms throughout Queensland and New South Wales, with an additional five set to open by 2018.
